All donations that we raise will be used to fund the programs needed to fight anti-Asian racism, increase Asian-American representation, and provide resources for the community.
We started LAAUNCH as a non-profit organization to fight racism, grow Asian American representation, and share resources with our community. Given the growing rise in violence against Asian Americans across the U.S., we identified a need to better understand and determine the underlying causes for racism and under-representation of Asian Americans. With that goal in mind, we recently released the inaugural STAATUS Index. The STAATUS Index will assess the impacts of long-held stereotypes (e.g., "model minority") and recent events (e.g., COVID-19) to understand and address the racism and representation issues facing Asian Americans in the U.S. today.
Purpose of Our Fundraising Campaign
We are all committed to stop Asian-hate, and you can help support our efforts at LAAUNCH.
Funds raised will be used for the following:
Conduct the STAATUS Index study over multiple years to track American attitudes towards Asian Americans
Publicize and share the results of the STAATUS Index with community and business leaders, politicians, academics, and the general public to advocate for Asian-American issues
Develop innovative programs to address issues identified by the STAATUS Index
Expand the LAAUNCH team
